Infrastructure
CERN Print Services currently support around 838 networked print devices:
- 548 printers
- 266 multifunction copier machines (print, photocopy and scan-to-mail)
- 24 plotters
50% of these are
colour machines.
And in total there are
49 different models.
Print devices are found in 226 buildings around the CERN sites:
- 78% on the Meyrin site
- 6% around the LHC sites
- 16% on the Prevessin site
Average Statistics
PER DAY: On an average working day, CERN prints between 15 and 20,000 pages, via 5,000 print jobs.
This gives an average of ~5 pages per job.
PER MONTH: CERN prints an average of 480,000 pages, 72% of which is in colour.
5% of this amount are photocopies, i.e. 28,000 pages.
In addition, scans total an average of 48,000 pages per month.
